McKinley is four months old! She's so much fun to have around. She has a huge smile and we laugh so much at how wide she can open her mouth. At her four month doctor appointment this week, she weighed just under 16 pounds, putting her in the "pleasantly plump" category.
McKinley's hair is growing a little, and the little bald spot on the back (that most back-sleeping babies get) is starting to slowly fill in. She grabs toys but doesn't yet have the dexterity to put them in her mouth. This week she really started to jump well in her Johnny Jump-Up toy.
She hates lying down when she is being held. She always wants to sit up and see what's going on around her. She'll lie back to drink a bottle, but as soon as she's done, she's using her super strong abs to try to sit forward. Even when she had to have general anesthesia to have her stint out this week, once she woke up she was trying to sit up to look around and see the nurses when they came in.
McKinley has started wearing a daily bib as her accessory of choice because she drools A LOT. She loves the little extra "umph" it gives to her outfits. While she's still not babbling a whole lot, she squeals, blows raspberries, and has started giggling, but it takes a lot of effort from Mom to get her to laugh. This girl just won't crack and let out a belly laugh!

Oh my how that video made me smile. She looks soooo sweet and snuggly. I can't wait to see her again. She is growing like crazy and looks like so much fun.
She is sooo adorable Emily! I love pleasantly plump babies!
She is SO cute!! I wish they made Johnny-jump ups for adults. Wait, would that be bungie jumping? Never mind.
Glad all went well and that she's healthy and well.
